Volunteers Needed to Help Clean Up Roebuck Springs

The City of Birmingham, Hands On Birmingham, Ruffner Mountain, Magic City Gardening, and the Roebuck Community are working together to revitalize the former Eastside Swim Club, located at the end of Dogwood Drive in Roebuck. Project leaders are asking for volunteers to come help with efforts on Saturday, Oct. 26th, anytime throughout the day from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The work involved will include debris removal, painting over graffiti, some tilling/chainsawing, and general manual labor. Hands On Birmingham will be providing light refreshments throughout the day. In addition, those who register in advance online, will receive a free T-shirt.
