- Business located in, or intending to locate in, the City of Birmingham
- Retail, restaurant, art or neighborhood service concepts
- Other businesses that will generate significant foot traffic
- Businesses that will result in job and tax growth in Birmingham
“One of the greatest challenges to any startup is access to seed capital. We’re thrilled to partner again with PNC and leverage not only their continued financial support, but also their technical expertise during this project as we work to grow new businesses downtown and in neighborhood commercial centers,” said Deon Gordon, REV Birmingham Director of Business Growth.
According to REV Birmingham, strong consideration will be given to businesses that have graduated from REV’s BIZ 1.0 Startup Essentials workshop or Create Birmingham’s CO.STARTERS business development offering, which is held in partnership between REV and MAKEbhm. Register at revbirmingham.org/rev-biz/biz1.0 and/or revbirmingham.org/rev-biz/costarters.
“The Big Pitch provides a creative, community-building opportunity to encourage entrepreneurship and business growth for Birmingham,” said PNC Regional President Brian Bucher. “It’s exciting to collaborate with REV Birmingham once again as we look to create meaningful impact and sustainable economic development in the Magic City.”
