EAT South is currently accepting applications for a farm manager/director. Applications are due by January 1st.
According to EAT South, the Farm Director manages all leadership tasks related to the site and production at the Downtown Farm as well as technical support for gardens throughout the local community. The Farm Director maintains the vision for the farm and for other EAT South programs as they relate to sustainable farming and gardening.
EAT South’s Downtown Farm gardens currently consist of 600-bed feet, but plans aim to expand them to be 1,100-bed feet in 2016.
Responsibilities of the EAT South Farm Director include working with the Executive Director and Education Director to develop, assess, and carry out EAT South’s strategic plan and programs, manage the vegetable production of EAT South’s Downtown Farm, and create an annual budget for farm expenses and projected income.
