The UAB Sustainable Smart Cities Research Center invites those interested in earning a Masters in Sustainable Smart Cities to attend an informational session on Wednesday, August 24th at 10:30 a.m., at Innovation Depot.
The Sustainable Smart Cities Master’s program from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Staffordshire University (in the United Kingdom) is a unique professional postgraduate program providing recent graduates, leaders, and professionals alike with key principles and insight required to develop sustainable smart cities.
Delivered by experienced faculty at both UAB and Staffordshire University, this international program is a unique 24 month, part-time professional Master’s program delivered 100% online by experienced faculty. Participants will become equipped with the knowledge, skills and critical thinking to assess, design and implement sustainable smart cities strategies across the globe.
The program offers a broad curriculum covering sustainability theory, sustainable urban development, low carbon and renewable energy systems, green infrastructure, natural resource management, health and liveability, transport and mobility, big data analytics and smart technologies.
The program is ideal for leaders and professionals in public and private sector organizations who “seek to design, develop, and deliver smart and sustainable urban solutions.”
