The Birmingham Botanical Gardens has recently been selected as one of USA Today’s 2016 Top Ten America’s Best Free Attractions. Open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens not only offers visitors free admission and parking, but also public computers and free wi-fi. A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

Home to more than 25 themed gardens, including a wildflower garden with Alabama native plants, a Japanese garden complete with a tea house, and the Southern Living Garden featuring the Southern Living Plant Collection, it’s also home to the largest public horticultural library in the US.
